Send Norwex for College Students?

Be still my mama heart….. I am sending my firstborn off to college. I can barely believe it. We keep going over everything in our heads… have we given him all the skills that he needs? Have we taught him what he needs to know? Is he ready? Or perhaps the bigger question, AM I READY??? And what do I need to send with him? (Being a Norwex nut, you can bet that he’s well stocked with Norwex for his college dorm!) ?

The answer to all of this is yes. Yes, off course. We have guided him the best that we can, and it is now his time to show the world all that he has to offer. I know he is going to grow, learn and make mistakes (just like you and I did!). Most of which is no longer under our direct influence…..which is hard to swallow…but you know what IS in my control???

Cleaning his DORM ROOM before he settles in!? And praying for him the way my parents and grandparents prayed for me! ?? And then making sure he has all the RIGHT TOOLS for clean-living while he is away. Norwex to the rescue….and maybe a bit of mom-help too…. and of course, a whole lot of Jesus!

YES…I will be that mom and CLEAN that space before we move him in. These are my NORWEX must-haves to CLEAN the dorm room!

Norwex for College Dorm Room Cleaning

Mattress Cleaner – Girl. Spray that mattress before you put any sheets down! ??

Bathroom Scrub Mitt with Bathroom Cleaner – A quick wipe down of the bathroom will help put my mind at ease. Do not assume that whoever “cleaned” it before move-in has Norwex cleaned it! ?

Carpet Stain Remover – Unfortunately, you never know what that stain might be….we found a mystery “stain” in the corner of the room, for which I was very grateful for the power of Norwex enzymes!!? Hubs was NOT volunteering to clean that one…

Odour Eliminator Concentrate – the room has been lived in by many before…this will help clean the air so he and his new roommates can make it their own. I love that a little goes a long way. You can leave some diluted in a Norwex Forever Spray Bottle for the bathroom… goodness knows, they’ll appreciate it!

Envirocloths™ – For real, these are my favorite!!! SERIOUSLY, this silver-embedded cloth with JUST WATER cleans about every surface in the dorm suite! I left him with several for upcoming cleaning, as well. I will feel better if I wipe down everything at least once before we move all his items in.

Norwex Mop – Honestly, if they don’t have carpet, the floors may look anything but clean. I don’t think most college kids mop, so I wouldn’t leave it at the dorm, but it does beat cleaning the floor with an EnviroCloth…

Ok. Here is my NORWEX MUST-HAVES for packing:

BacLock™ Pillowcases – Goodness knows, he needs good sleep….these will help. He LOVES his Norwex BacLock™ pillowcases, especially in the new GRAY color! Plus, with the silver-embedded, these do not grow germs the way traditional pillowcases do! ?

Toilet Spray – Yes, just trust me on this one.

Norwex Towel Set – With these, he will feel like he is getting a spa treatment! And… we all know how often college students do laundry (or don’t do laundry)!!! The BacLock™ silver-embedded bath towels, hand towels and Body & Face Cloths are an absolute MUST for college life!!!!

Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent – Speaking of laundry, on those desperate moments where he decides he must do laundry… well, I don’t want him running off to the supermarket to buy some junk, chemical-laden detergent, so be sure to tuck this in the laundry basket with a set of Dryer Balls.

Fluff and Tumble Dryer Balls – Yes, and he will have to dry his clothes too….

More Norwex Dorm Essentials ??????

Dusting Mitt – Graciously, make it easy for them to dust quickly before your next visit… seriously, all of my boys LOVE this thing for keeping their desk semi-clean! It is SOOO easy to use!

EnviroCloths™ – Generously, another quick clean-up tool before my next visit… do a quick lesson on how to wipe down the sink area. This magical cloth removes up to 99% of bacteria from the surfaces with JUST WATER! Leave a couple of these and at least one Window Cloth for when they’re home on a weekend and feeling like making the bathroom mirror look amazing!

Sportzyme – trust me on this one too. ? Enzymes are a wonderful thing.

Optic Scarf– Conveniently, clip this on a Counter Cloth House Set (because our boys are used to using ours at home for quick spill clean-ups), making the Optic Scarf handy to it to clean the phone, computer, and “all the screens”.

Dishwashing Soap– I used my magic dishwashing formula of diluting the Norwex Dishwashing Liquid and a bit of Norwex Degreaser in a Norwex Forever Spray Bottle for him to use with the Spirinett to clean out his water bottles, etc. In a pinch, this also works as an all-purpose cleaner.

Water Filtration Pitcher– I don’t know about your college kid, but mine is definitely a water snob and having something to make the dorm water a bit more palatable and healthy will be a good thing!

Non-Norwex things to think about…

While packing him up, I was asking fellow parents their best suggestions on what to send and I got so many great ideas! Thought I’d share a quick list here.

I mean, I think I would have him take the kitchen sink too, but I’m confident that there isn’t space in his dorm room for that! Hopefully, this list is helpful as you send your grad off!
