I LOVE it when Norwex gives away free mops!!!  The Norwex Mop is my top-favorite product!  I love how simple it is to clean my floors now!  Don’t have to fill it up, plug it in, lug it around, or push a sloshing, dirty mop bucket!  This mop is worth EVERY penny full price!  But… FREE is good.  Really good.  🙂

Norwex Your Bathroom!

Bathrooms!  Your favorite room to clean, right?  How can you do it without annihilating yourself with harmful fumes and chemicals?

Enter Norwex!!  I want to share some Norwex Bathroom Cleaning Tips!

What you’ll need:
1 Enviro Cloth
1 Polishing Cloth
1 Pink Bathroom Scrub Mitt
1 Sanira Toilet System
1 Blue Diamond All-Purpose BR Cleaner (opt.)

If hard water is part of your bathroom-cleaning-challenge, then add:
1 Norwex Descaler
1 toilet pumice stone

And if you prefer NOT to clean floors on your hands and knees, then you’ll be thrilled with our:
1 Norwex Large Superior Mop System
1 Rubber Brush

OK, ready?    With Norwex we primarily clean with just water and a a Norwex Antibac* Enviro Cloth!  But in the bathroom, you’ll also want to have a couple of our specialty cleaners on hand!

First rule of thumb: clean cleanest (i.e. mirror) to dirtiest (i.e. toilet).  So first clean the mirror (be sure to use the dry Norwex Window Cloth to polish up the mirror and anything else that shines immediately after deep cleaning it with the Enviro!) Then on to the sink, faucet, vanity with a damp Enviro cloth.  Once you’ve done this deep cleaning around the sink, you can clean any additional areas before finishing up wiping down the toilet.   (At our house, the yellow Enviros have a very special job… cleaning up after 4 adorable little guys around the toilet!!  If you’ve raised boys, you may know why we chose yellow… sometimes aim comes secondary to distractions.  LOL)

Now obviously, you won’t want to clean *inside* your toilet with an Enviro cloth- so that’s where the Sanira Toilet System comes in!  Read my post HERE for more details on the Sanira.  It will leave your toilet smelling fresh, but not “chemical”.  For a bit deeper clean, first pour in a half-gallon of water to lower the toilet bowl water level.  Directly apply either the Sanira solution, the Blue Diamond Bathroom Cleaner, or spray with Descaler– let set 5-10 minutes, and then finish cleaning with the Sanira brush (or a toilet pumice stone combined with Descaler  can be especially helpful for getting rid of the mysterious toilet ring!)

OK- so what about the shower/ tub?  The pink Bathroom Scrub Mitt is perfect to hang inside your shower for a quick wipe-down after a shower.  And it does amazing things when used with just water!!  But many or our customers are loving the Blue Diamond cleaner in combination with the Bathroom Scrub Mitt for shining and cleaning the shower.  If you have more hard water, you’ll want to consider the Descaler.

And the wrap up with a quick mopping with our amazing Norwex mop system!  It makes floor cleaning SO easy.  And we are loving the new Norwex Tile Mop Pad (used wet on tile and vinyl)!!  The mop is nice sized to cover the area quickly, yet it maneuvers easily beside and behind most toilets!!  You’ll love it!!

So, it’s hard to put it into words, but believe me, you’ll have your bathroom deep cleaned faster than ever before!!  Oh, and one more quick tip before I sign off:  if the toilet area is getting a bit stinky… try spraying our Norwex Mattress Cleaner around the area.  The enzymes do a wonderful job of “cleaning up”!  🙂

Doggie Nose Prints? Attention Pet Owners!

I was talking with some friends recently and they were exclaiming how well ourNorwex Enviro and Polishing cloths work at cleaning doggy or kitty nose prints off windows!  With JUST WATER!    I love when my hostesses leave me some nose prints to clean at their party, because it truly shows how these cloths can shine!!  Speaking of pet clean up, Norwex has incredible products for pet owners in general.  At one of the parties I did this past Spring, my hostess was kind enough to leave some muddy doggy footprints on her vinyl floor, and she was incredulous at how easily, quickly, & effortlessly our Norwex Superior Mop cleaned them up!  (That’s just one more wonderful thing about hosting a Norwex party at your home… what other party are you actually “required” to leave some dirt?!)  🙂  And the mop leaves NO HARMFUL CHEMICAL RESIDUE that can make your pet sick!  My customers with pets are absolutely crazy about the Norwex Rubber Brush for removing pet hair from just about any fabric!  It’s amazing on pet beds, couches, or for the carpeting along baseboards where the vacuum doesn’t reach.  I’ve even had customers tell me that they’ve used it to remove pet hair from their clothing.  (And if you own our mop system, the Rubber Brush is also a must!)  The Antibac Microfiber Dusting Mitt does a fantastic job at picking up hair from a shedding cat or dog, as well.  And for those muddy and wet winter/ spring paws, the Antibac Pet Set is fantastic for cleaning paws when they come back into the house, as well as for bathing and thoroughly drying your pets (great for those cold months to minimize chill after a bath!)  Of course the damp Enviro cloth/dry Polishing cloth duo (a.k.a. “Burt & Ernie”) are essential for easily removing kitty paw prints with JUST water… effortlessly!   Oh, and let’s not forget about the Odor Eliminator and the amazing Carpet Stain Buster!  For pet owners, these are both essentials!  The Norwex Odor Eliminator is great for freshening pet areas, and the Carpet Stain Buster does an incredible job at removing pet urine, vomit, waste, and residual odors from carpet stains without leaving a residue.  And the Mattress Cleaner is great for removing pet (as well as human) dander from your mattress (along with other organic waste like dust mite feces!!)  Allergy sufferers find that Norwex products help significantly because they help to remove the irritating substances.  And if your pet drinks out of the toilet, you’ll be interested to know that our Sanira Toilet Brush Cleaning System will be a non-poisonous, non-corrosive cleaning solution- a much safer option for your pet!    Just one more reason to love Norwex…  🙂  dog_cat Happy Pets, Happy Pet Owners!

Norwex Mop System! My favorite!

Superior Mop PackageThe reusable Norwex mop system is my top-favorite product.   Before Norwex found me, I absolutely hated mopping my floors- the bucket of dirty, sloshing water, the dirty mop, the short handle… the list goes on.   I just didn’t like it.   For my “dry mopping” needs, I liked using the dry Swiffers for my wood floors, but hated that I was throwing them into the landfill & constantly having to buy more ($$$)!  Now that I’ve discovered the Norwex Mop, I absolutely love that I’m not clogging our landfills with more paper products and that it does a far better job at “dry mopping” than the Swiffer ever did.  It’s fantastic to see how this mop will shine up wood floors!!  At several of my home shows, I’ve had hostesses who have previously used other cleaning products on their floors- these often leave residue that leads to streaks.  It is fun to watch our mop start to remove those residues and leave the floors prettier than ever!  And did I mention we mop with JUST WATER?!?  I recently got some feedback from a customer who has a lot of wood floors and recently purchased the mop system.  Here are her words:  “Sonya, I have two words for the mop….LOVE IT!!  I’m so glad I invested in it.  It works wonders.”

This “Superior Mop System” comes with a dry microfiber mop pad, and a blue microfiber wet pad.  You simply dry mop first, use the rubber brush to brush any dirt/ debris into your trash can, and then put on the wet mop.  The wet mop has completely made the old dirty mop & bucket of water obsolete!!  Because of the incredible quality of our microfiber, this mop does an amazing job!  And it’s so easy to use!  It comes in 2 size choices:  the regular or the mini.  Most of my customers choose the full size, unless they have a very small amount of smooth flooring in their home.  The larger size covers the area much more quickly, yet is flexible enough to fit into very small spaces.  With our tile & wood floors, I always reach for my full-sized mop.    Other customers have commented how their husbands walked in and asked *what* they had done to the floors… they looked so great!

I love that the handle is telescopic, meaning no more bending over your mop.  And it locks into place so you can clean ceilings/ walls/ high windows (you’ll want the mop brackets for this).  And in general, men love this mop for its simplicity and taller adjustable handle.  The pads velcro on, making them very easy to put on/ off.

When you purchase the mop, be sure to also add the rubber brush to your order.  You’ll be glad you did.  This really helps keep the dry mop cleaner longer.  When you need to launder your mop pads, simply follow the same care instructions as for our other microfiber products.  NO bleach, NO fabric softener, NO linty loads.   Now remember, the wet mop pad has the naturally antimicrobial silver embedded into the microfiber to keep the bacteria count down between launders.   Most people find that they only need to occasionally wash them.  After you’ve used the Superior Dry Mop pad, simply use the rubber brush with short strokes to brush any dirt into the garbage.  To clean the wet pad after use, put a *small* drop of our Dish Soap, and rub the microfiber firmly against itself under running water.  Rinse well & hang to dry.  If you need a good place to store your mop, Norwex offers the mop hanger.

Great cleaning ideas & tips!

As always, please call me if you have any questions, or if you have a specific cleaning challenge that you’d like help addressing!   Here are some more great ways to use your Norwex products.

  • Your Enviro cloths are excellent for removing stains from carpet and upholstery.  During my demos, I’ve been amazed at what has come off my hostesses’ carpet!  Go ahead…. try it!  Norwex also has a great Carpet Stain Buster if needed!
  • The Enviro microfiber cloths come in four colors- this allows you to “color-code” your house.  For instance, you can reserve red for “bathrooms”, green for “kitchen”, blue for “windows”, etc.
  • Your Norwex mop isn’t just for washing floors!  It’s a great way to clean your walls and ceilings- simply lock the head into place (so it doesn’t swivel, as it does when you use it on the floor) and “Voila”!  The superior mop pad does an excellent job removing dust from walls (Contractors love this mop for cleaning the dust off all the surfaces before selling their homes!)  (Please note that using the mop in this way may not work if you have rough or heavily textured walls or ceilings.)
  • Along the same lines as above, the mop, when equipped with mop brackets, allows you to place a window cloth on (over the dry mop pad), lock the head in place, and clean/polish hard-to-reach windows beautifully!  The mop brackets snap on, not slide on, and once they are on, you can simply leave them there.  They shouldn’t interfere with using your mop.
  • Be sure to “unlock” your mop head before going back to mopping your floor.
  • Your damp Enviro cloth & dry window (polishing) cloth team work wonderfully to to leave your granite countertops sparkling and streak-free and CLEAN… without any chemicals or cleaners needed!
  • The Norwex Rubber Brush is excellent for removing pet hair for home or car upholstery or carpet.  It’s also great to collect dust from those corners of carpeting that your vacuum can’t reach!
