Many of my customer inquire about the Norwex Body Scrub Mitt, so thought I'd share…
How to Prep for the Holidays with Norwex
You know the song “It’s the Final Countdown” by Europe? Of course, you do and now you are most likely now singing the chorus in your head… As we wrap up the month of October, let’s talk about how to prep for the Holidays. I really like to be prepared, so I think it’s helpful to do as much as I can before all the craziness begins. Here are some ideas on how to Prep for the Holidays with Norwex!
Prep for the Holidays with Norwex!
I like to go through my kitchen and take an inventory of what I need, and what I need to get to make sure I am ready. Here is my list of things I know I need to make things a bit easier in the kitchen.
Norwex in the Kitchen
Norwex Cutting Board:
It’s just a cutting board – right? Nope. Not right. I used to wonder the same thing. The Cutting Board is not fancy, but it is so practical, useful, and efficient. It comes in two different sizes and is biodegradable and made from rice husks. Easy to clean, it is much more durable than your average plastic cutting board.
What I really love about it, is the silicone grips underneath so it does not slip while you’re cutting your food. No matter what I have been cutting, the board has stayed in place. I also love that it does not get knife lines or scratches where I have used it. From a health standpoint (y’all know I’m so passionate about wellness and prevention of disease), I love that you don’t have grooves in the board that can grow bacteria, nor do you end up with microscopic bits of plastic in your food, as with a traditional plastic board. And again, it cleans up so easily! I can either put it in my dishwasher or handwash it in the sink. Yes, it has a higher price point than most plastic cutting boards, but they are worth it – the small is 13.8” x 9.8” and is $39.99, while the large is 15.75” x 11.8” and is $49.99.
Norwex Fresh Produce Wash
I was not a believer in this product until I tried it, and now we can not live without it. The Fresh Produce Washis simply amazing. I had NO idea how much dirt (and who-knows-what-else) was still on my fruit and veggies even after I had washed them! The Fresh Fruit Produce Wash is plant-based, and will help get rid of all the “biofilm” of the pesticides, dirt, and grime left on your produce. It contains no phosphates and will help extend the shelf life of your veggies. I like to wash my produce ahead of time, so when it comes to the big day, I am not having to fit this in. I wash a few days before and I know that they will be ready to use. You can find this spray on page 34, and it is $24.99 for a 12 oz bottle.
Norwex Silicone Lids
The Norwex Silicone Lids are SOOOO handy to have in the kitchen. I love these things. They are made from food-safe silicone and work on ANY smooth rimmed container. The seal that it creates is incredibly tight so they are perfect to store for any leftovers you may have, or if you are like me, they keep all my prepped food fresh and ready to go. I love that these are so useful, and help eliminate all the plastic wrap and foil I may have used in the past. You can even put these in the oven to quickly reheat any food. I was super surprised when I heard that. They are good up to 446 degrees F! These come in 3 different shapes too – to fit all your containers – choose from a circle (either 10.2” or 7.9” diameter) rectangle (10” x 14”) or a square (9”x9”). They are also available in cup-sized to help keep your coffee hot or put on smaller glass storage containers.
Norwex Degreaser Concentrate– Norwex Dishwashing Hack!
Let me teach you an Eckel-house Norwex Hack that you will absolutely LOVE! The Heavy Duty Degreaser Concentrate is diluted in a Norwex Forever Spray Bottle with the Norwex Dishwashing Liquid. I fill the bottle first about 4/5 full. I then pour in about 1/2 inch of Heavy Duty Degreaser Concentrate and lastly, top it up to the top with the Norwex Dishwashing Liquid.
I’ll be honest- I’m not huge on exact measurements, but there’s some flex on the amounts and it will still work fabulously! I like to wash some of my dishes by hand and this combination IN THE SPRAY BOTTLE saves me SO. MUCH. TIME. when it comes to washing dishes! Norwex Dishwashing liquid is so gentle on my hands, as it is phosphate-free! All the ingredients are biodegradable, which makes it great for septic tanks. It is very highly concentrated, so a little bit goes a long way.
This Degreaser is a plant-based solution that helps get rid of the grease on your dishes. These two combined, with the clementine essential oil in the Dishwashing liquid, make doing dishes easy and (almost) enjoyable. The Dishwashing liquid is $13.99 (12 oz) and the Heavy Duty Degreaser Concentrate is $24.99 ($8oz) and both these bottles will last you a long time. Be sure to pick up the Norwex Netted Dish Cloth, Enviroscrubs, Spirinetts, or Spirisponges for your dishwashing needs, as well!
Norwex Silicone Food Storage Containers
I do like to get the jump on prepping for the big dinners. I like to get my veggies cut, and as many of my side dishes ready to go. The Norwex Silicone Food Storage Containers are a go-to for all of that. I know that they look much like other food storage containers out there, but they are worth it. Not only are they dishwasher-safe, freezer-safe, and microwave-safe, they are also collapsible so they take up WAY less space when storing. They come in 4 different sizes, for whatever you may need. You can find them on page 37 in the current catalog, and they come in packs of 2 -Small/Medium for $26.99, or Large/Extra Large for $36.99.
Norwex EnviroScrubs
The Norwex EnviroScrub is a game-changer for SO. MANY. THINGS. Including washing dishes with fabulous silver-embedded Norwex microfiber. This double-sided scrub cloth fits so well into my hand, and I love that it is dual-purpose. One side is rougher, scrubbier microfiber to use when needing to scrub, and the other side is our softer microfiber we use in with the enviro cloth to wipe away the easier messes. It is safe to use on most dishes, and has BacLock Technology so it is cleaning itself while it is not in use. And when I am done doing the dishes – I use the microfiber side to wipe down my sink and counters. It is really a great multipurpose item.Right now, you have three color choices – graphite/teal, graphite or blue and they are $24.99 for a pack of 3!!
Norwex Dish Mat
Ok. After I have done all the dishes, I rarely feel like drying them right away (although the Norwex Kitchen Towel is AMAZING for drying dishes!). But, I have no problem placing them out on the Norwex Dish Mat. The mat is made from 91% recycled yarn and soaks up more water than I even realize was still on my dishes. It also contains our amazing BacLock Technology so as soon as you decide to dry your dishes and put them away – you just hang it to dry – and it is cleaning itself with the silver that is embedded into the microfiber. Easy peasy. It is 20.87” x 14.17” in size, and currently comes in Mushroom and graphite for $29.99
I would love to hear what YOU are doing in your final countdown to get ready for the holiday season? What are things you need to make sure you have in your kitchen? I can not wait to hear!
