TRUE Review Framework™: What Guides My Norwex Product Reviews
How Do I Decide Which Norwex Products I Recommend?
If you’ve spent much time around here, you already know that I love Norwex. I’ve been using, sharing and teaching about these products since 2009, and Norwex has played a huge role in my family’s journey toward creating a healthier home with fewer unnecessary chemicals.
But here’s something else I want you to know:
I don’t love every Norwex product. I never have.
There have been products I’ve absolutely loved from the first time I used them, products that have become staples in the Eckel house, products that took me a while to appreciate, and products that simply weren’t for me. There have even been a few products over the years that I wasn’t terribly sad to see Norwex discontinue. ? I think you deserve to know that.
Because if I’m going to tell you that a product is fantastic, I want you to know I’m saying that because I genuinely believe it—not simply because Norwex sells it.
That’s why I’ve created what I call my TRUE Review Framework™.
T — Trust
R — Respect
U — Understand
E — Equip
It’s the standard I want to use whenever I review or recommend a product here at BestCleaningCloth.com.

Why I Created the TRUE Review Framework™
I’ve been with Norwex for more than 17 years. During that time, I’ve used a LOT of Norwex products. I’ve demonstrated them in homes, trained Consultants, answered thousands of questions, watched products come and go, listened to customer feedback and—most importantly—used these products in my own home.
That’s a perspective I don’t take lightly. I’m also a Norwex Consultant and Leader. If you purchase through my links, I may earn income from those purchases. If you would like to make me your Preferred Consultant, you can do so here by subscribing to my Norwex newsletter.
I want you to know that upfront.
Rather than pretending that relationship doesn’t exist, I’d rather tell you exactly how I approach my recommendations so you can evaluate them for yourself. My goal isn’t to convince you that you need everything Norwex makes. My goal is to help you figure out what makes sense for you. If you’re trying to decide where to start, I’ve also put together my current Norwex catalog and product guide to help you sort through the options.
And that starts with T-R-U-E.
T — TRUST
If I recommend it, I want you to be able to trust that I mean it.
Trust is one of my core values. If I love something, I’ll tell you why. If I think something is good but probably unnecessary for most households, I’ll tell you that too. If there’s another Norwex product I’d buy first, I want you to know. And if I personally wouldn’t purchase something again?
Yep. I’ll tell you that too.
Being a Norwex Leader doesn’t mean I have to believe every single product is perfect for every single person. Actually, I think the opposite is true. If I’m willing to tell you what I don’t love, my hope is that you’ll have more confidence when I tell you what I absolutely DO love.
That’s why you’ll find honest pros and cons throughout my reviews—and why I’m even willing to share some of the Norwex products I haven’t loved over the years.
Trust also means being transparent when something changes. Norwex changes. Products change. Formulas change. Recommendations change. And sometimes I learn something new. When that happens, I want my recommendations to change too.
R — RESPECT
I respect your home, your health, your budget—and your ability to make your own decision.
I don’t know exactly what your household needs.
You might have little kids running around. You might have pets. You might live alone. You might have a house full of teenagers. You might love cleaning. Or…you might be looking at me right now thinking, Sonya, let’s not get carried away. ?
Your priorities are yours. That’s why I don’t want my reviews to simply tell you:
BUY THIS.
I want to tell you:
Here’s what it does. Here’s what I’ve experienced. Here’s what I love about it. Here’s what I don’t. Here’s who I think will get the most value from it. And here’s who may not need it.
Then you decide.
I also respect that these products cost real money. Something can be a great product and still not be the best use of your money. Value matters to me. I want to consider not just the purchase price, but how often you’ll use something, how long it should last, whether it replaces other products and whether it actually solves a problem in your home.
U — UNDERSTAND
When we know better, we can do better.
This one is incredibly important to me.
Before I tell you how to use a product—or whether I think you should buy it—I want to understand it.
What was it designed to do?
How is it supposed to be used?
What problem does it solve?
What does Norwex actually say about it?
What have I learned through training?
And then…
What happens when I use it in real life?
Those aren’t always exactly the same thing.
After more than 17 years, I’ve also learned that recommendations evolve. There are things I taught years ago because that was the best information we had at the time—but that I teach differently today. A great example is deep cleaning Norwex microfiber.
Years ago, boiling microfiber was commonly recommended as a deep-cleaning method. Today, with better options available and more understanding about microfiber care, that’s no longer my preferred recommendation. Does that mean I was lying back then? Of course not. It means we learned more.
When we know better, we can do better.
E — EQUIP
My job isn’t to make the decision for you. It’s to equip you to make a great one.
This may be my favorite part of TRUE.
I don’t want you leaving one of my reviews simply knowing whether I like something. I want you to know enough to decide whether you will.
Whenever possible, I want you to leave knowing: what the product does, how to use it correctly, what I like about it, any limitations I’ve discovered, who I think it’s best for, what alternatives you may want to consider, how to care for it, and whether I think it provides good value.
Because buying a great product and using it incorrectly isn’t much of a win. Neither is spending money on something that sits in a cabinet because you didn’t really need it.
My goal is to help you purchase more intentionally and then get the very best results from the products you choose. That’s what I mean by Equip.
What Do I Actually Look at When I Review a Norwex Product?
TRUE is the philosophy behind my reviews, but there are also practical things I consider when I’m evaluating a product.
Depending on the product, I may look at:
- My firsthand experience: Have I actually used it, and for how long?
- Effectiveness: Does it do what it’s designed to do?
- Ease of use: Is it practical in a real home?
- Versatility: Does it solve one problem or several?
- Value: Is the price reasonable for the usefulness, longevity and products it may replace?
- Ingredients or materials: When relevant, what is it made from, and what do we actually know about those ingredients or materials? Does it align with the Norwex values and standards?
- Care and longevity: Is it easy to maintain and likely to last?
- Alternatives: Is there another Norwex product—or sometimes another solution entirely—that I think makes more sense?
- Training and product knowledge: What does Norwex actually say about the product, how is it intended to be used, and what have I learned through product training?
- Who it’s for: Who do I think will genuinely love this?
- Who can skip it: Who probably doesn’t need it?
- Would I buy it again? This may be one of the simplest—and most revealing—questions of all.
Not every product review requires every one of these questions. A microfiber cloth and a concentrated cleaner aren’t evaluated in exactly the same way.
But I want my reviews to give you more than a product description you could read in a catalog.
I want to give you my take.
Does Being a Norwex Consultant Affect My Reviews?
It’s a fair question.
Yes, I’m a Norwex Consultant and Top Norwex Leader, and I can earn income when people purchase Norwex products through me.
But that’s precisely why transparency matters so much to me. I don’t expect you to trust a review simply because I tell you I’m trustworthy.
Read my reviews.
Look at the products I love.
Look at the products I tell you aren’t necessary.
Look at the things I wouldn’t personally purchase again.
Look at the times I’ve updated an old recommendation because I’ve learned something new.
And then decide whether my recommendations have earned your trust. That’s how I’d rather do this.
My Promise to You
After all these years, I’m incredibly thankful for what Norwex has meant to our family and for the thousands of people I’ve had the opportunity to teach along the way.
But BestCleaningCloth.com isn’t here to convince you that you need a house full of products. It’s here to help you create a home that works better for you.
So when you see Reviewed using my TRUE Review Framework™ on one of my reviews, here’s what I want that to mean:
You can TRUST me to tell you what I really think.
I’ll RESPECT you enough to give you the whole picture and let you decide.
I’ll work to UNDERSTAND what I’m recommending—and change my recommendation when new or better information warrants it.
And I’ll EQUIP you with practical information so you can make a confident choice and get the most from what you purchase.
And if there’s ever something I haven’t answered? Ask me. I’m honored to be a part of your Norwex journey.
— Sonya
