Norwex BAMBOO Microfiber Cloth partners great with so many other Norwex products for windows, bathrooms,…
Which is the Best Norwex Cloth That I Should Use? The Complete Room-by-Room Guide (2026)
One of the most common questions I hear from both new and long-time customers is: “Which is the best Norwex cloth for what? Which cloth should I use?”
If you’ve ever looked at the Norwex catalog and wondered why there are so many different microfiber cloths, you’re not alone. The good news is that each cloth was designed with a specific purpose in mind. Once you understand the differences, choosing the right cloth becomes simple and your cleaning becomes faster and easier.
In this complete Norwex cloth guide, I’ll walk you through my favorite cloth for every room in the house and explain exactly when to use each one.
After more than 17 years helping families create healthier homes, these are the cloths I reach for most often.
Why Are There So Many Norwex Cloths?
While all Norwex fiber products are designed to mechanically remove dirt, dust, grease, and other contaminants, each cloth features a different weave, texture, or design that makes it ideal for specific cleaning tasks.
Think of it like a toolbox.
You could use the same tool for every job, but having the right tool makes the job easier, faster, and often produces better results.
Best Norwex Cloth for Everyday Cleaning:
EnviroCloth® – hands down!
If you’re new to Norwex and could only purchase one cloth, this is the one I recommend.
The EnviroCloth is designed for replacing chemical cleaners with just this ONE CLOTH and water! That’s right. Just H2O. It’s great on almost every surface in your home. Run it under water, wring it out tightly, and wipe.
Great For:
? Kitchen counters
? Bathroom counters & surfaces
? Appliances
? Tables
? Cabinets
? High-touch surfaces (light switches, remotes, cell phones, etc)
? General, everyday cleaning
Simply wet the cloth, wring it out well, and wipe. I use my EnviroCloth every. single. day. It removes up to 99% of bacteria used with just water. No cleaners. No harmful chemicals. Truly, this one cloth will change your life.
Norwex Cloth for Streak-Free Windows, Mirrors and other streak-prone surfaces:
Window Cloth
The Window Cloth is designed to leave glass sparkling clean without streaks.
For this one, use it after cleaning with a damp EnviroCloth. Remember, these two cloths are best friends! Like Bert and Ernie. Batman and Robin. Thelma and Louise. You get the idea. I recommend purchasing this WITH the EnviroCloth (It’s called the Norwex Basic Package (EnviroCloth and Window Cloth Bundle)).
The Window Cloth used DRY after wiping the surface with a damp EnviroCloth is perfect for:
? mirrors
? windows
? shower glass
? stainless steel appliances
? chrome fixtures and faucets
? glass tabletops
? car windows
Which Norwex Cloth for Kitchen Cleanup:
Kitchen Cloth
The BacLockTM silver-embedded Norwex Kitchen Cloths are one of my favorite upgrades for busy kitchens. Its textured design helps tackle:
Best For:
? Kitchen counters
? Wiping up spills, crumbs, grease
? Food preparation areas
? Daily cleanup
? Busy family kitchens
Best Replacement for Paper Towels:
Counter Cloth House Set
If you are the way we used to be at the Eckel house… you might use a LOT of paper towels!
Imagine how much $$$ money (watch this quick cash-in-the-trash video I did) you can save by making the swap to reusable paper towels like the Norwex Counter Cloths!
I was able to reform even the biggest offender (my hubby) to making the switch to these! In full disclosure, I haven’t gotten him to make the switch for dirty jobs like dog puke, but progress is progress! I used to buy paper towels in BULK almost monthly! Now we buy the occasional roll! Huge cost savings, and so much better for our planet, too! #winwin
One counter cloth absorbs about 4-5 pick-a-size paper towels worth! And SO much better at wiping up sticky or stuck messes!
What about the really dirty jobs? Which Norwex Cloth is best for that?
The Quick Clean Cloths!
The Norwex Quick Clean Cloths are made in a very dark color (onyx) so you always know the best cloth to grab for dirty jobs (pet accidents, greasy hands, fireplace cleanup, grill cleaning, candle soot, etc). You are going to fall in love with these! Just use with water, or one of the Norwex specialty cleaners if needed (multi-purpose cleaner, pet enzyme stain remover, Mattress Cleaner (enyzme magic!), etc)
Norwex Solution for Dusting:
Dusting Mitt
If we get technical, this one is actually a mitt not a cloth, but deserves to be mentioned for DUSTING. It is incredible. Use it dry (or slightly damp) to replace dusting sprays and disposable dusters. Another Norwex dusting option is the Envirowand.
The Dusting Mitt is a game changer. Slip it on your hand and clean hard-to-reach surfaces quickly and easily.
Best For:
? Ceiling fans
? Blinds
? Baseboards
? Furniture, Bookshelves, Dressers
? Electronics (turn TVs off for about 20 minutes before dusting to reduce static cling from device)
? BONUS TIP: Excellent used DAMP to clean window or sliding door screens… and dryer lint trap screens!
? BONUS TIP #2: Used dry, great for getting sand off feet after the beach
Best Norwex Cloth for Bathroom Cleaning
Ultra-Scrub Cloths or Bathroom Scrub Mitt
There are a few great options for some cleanings scrub in the bathroom. For those who prefer a mitt for some added leverage, the Bathroom Scrub Mitt is one of my customer’s faves! Or, the EnviroScrubs or Ultra-Scrub Cloths also work for bathrooms if you prefer a cloth to a mitt. The Ultra Scrub Cloth is going to be your TOP in the scrub category. Many of our customers color-code and also use this in their kitchen. We love it on our glass-top stove at the Eckel house!
Bathrooms often require a little more scrubbing power. These three microsilver infused scrub cloth options remove:

soap scum
toothpaste residue
water spots
grime buildup
WITHOUT the need for harsh cleaners!
Best For:
? Bathtubs
? Showers
? Bathroom sinks
? Tile surfaces
? Toilet area
Best Norwex Cloth to Clean Stainless Steel Appliances:
EnviroCloth + Window Cloth Combination OR the Stainless Steel Cloth
Customers often ask:
“What is the best Norwex cloth for stainless steel appliances?”
The Eckel-house method? Use a damp EnviroCloth first. Then finish with a dry Window Cloth. That’s my personal go-to.
But if you prefer ONE cloth for the job, try the Stainless Steel Cloth– dampen one corner and then use the smooth side (dry) to polish.
This combination removes fingerprints, smudges, and streaks beautifully.
Best For:
? Refrigerators
? Dishwashers
? Ovens
? Stainless steel fixtures
Best Way to Clean Fruits and Vegetables:
Veggie and Fruit Scrub Cloth
This cloth was designed specifically for scrubbing produce.
It helps remove dirt, debris, “biofilm” from being handled and coatings applied, as well as other surface residue from fruits and vegetables before eating. We love it paired with the Norwex Fresh Produce Wash (perfect for things that can’t be cleaned with a cloth, like broccoli, berries, lettuce, etc).
Great For:
? Potatoes/ Sweet Potatoes
? Apples
? Carrots
? Cucumbers
? Melons (Yes, you should wash your melons before you cut into them!)
Which Norwex Cloth Should Beginners Buy First?
Well first off, I didn’t get to all of them- Norwex also has amazing body and face cloths, silver-embedded fridge drawer liner cloths, car cloths, and more! But, if you’re just getting started, I recommend:
The Starter Kit Combination, called the Household Package:
EnviroCloth
Window Cloth
Dust Mitt
These three products can handle the majority of everyday household cleaning tasks, and will replace about 90%+ of your need for cleaners!
As your collection grows, consider adding:
Kitchen Cloths
Bathroom Scrub Mitt or Ultra Scrub Cloths
Mop System (I’ve covered this in previous posts… it is (IMHO) the best mop!)
Face and Body Cloths (for cleaning your body and face)
If I could only keep a few Norwex cloths, my list would include:
EnviroCloth
Window Cloth
Kitchen Cloth
Dusting Mitt
Norwex Mop System & Rubber Brush
Don’t get me started on the specialty cleaners… laundry detergent, Mattress Cleaner, Biozyme, Ultrazyme Norwex Dishwasher Detergent… I guess that’s a post for another day!
But in short, these are the products I use most often in my own home and recommend most frequently to customers.
Frequently Asked Questions About Best Norwex Cloth to Use
Can I use the EnviroCloth on everything?
Almost.
The best Norwex cloth to start with? The EnviroCloth is extremely versatile and works on most washable household surfaces. Norwex does say to always test a small area, but I have honestly found very few instances where the EnviroCloth doesn’t work! I use it to get out carpet stains (yup… for real… like when our poor sweet pup got into the boys’ chocolate) and, I use it to clean virtually every flat surface. For things like mattresses, pillows, etc, then our enzyme probiotic specialty cleaners are your best bet.
What cloth should I use on mirrors?
The Window Cloth provides the best streak-free finish on mirrors and glass, used dry after the surface has first been cleaned with a damp EnviroCloth.
What is the best Norwex cloth for kitchens?
The Kitchen Cloth is excellent for daily kitchen cleanup, while the EnviroCloth remains the most versatile option.
What is the best Norwex cloth for dusting?
The Dusting Mitt is specifically designed for dusting furniture, blinds, ceiling fans, and other household surfaces. We do love the Envirowands, as well, for dusting.
Do you have any Norwex Before and Afters?
Yes- we have SO many! Let me grab you a few here and here’s a Norwex Before and After booklet to flip through!
Final Thoughts
If you’ve ever felt a bit overwhelmed trying to decide which Norwex cloth to use, remember this:
Start simple.
For most homes, the combination of an EnviroCloth, Window Cloth, and Kitchen Cloth will handle the majority of cleaning needs.
As you become familiar with the products, you can gradually add specialty cloths that make specific jobs even easier.
After helping families create healthier homes for more than 17 years, I’ve found that choosing the right cloth can save time, reduce the need for harsh chemicals, and make everyday cleaning much more enjoyable.
