More Norwex “Love it!”

I want to thank Lisa C. from Omaha Nebraska, for sharing feedback on her Norwex products!

“I love my Norwex products and don’t know how I’d live without them now.  I use the laundry detergent and dryer balls and also the microfiber Enviro cloths and the window cloth on everything.  I also have the dust mitt, kitchen cloths and bathroom scrub mitt.  I see there are new make-up remover cloths and I’m thinking I’ll be trying those the next time my normal cleanser runs out.  How do people deal with all those nasty chemicals anymore?

Enviro Cloths- Rainbow PackMy boss actually got me started by giving me a microfiber cloth and window cloth.  He told me they were like miracle cleaners.  I didn’t believe him at first.  But thought I’d give them a try on my sliding glass door that I never seemed to be able to get streak free.  I have two dogs and two little boys so it was always a constant battle.  Once I used them one time and saw how they worked I’ve never looked back!

One thing I’d like to add about the laundry detergent:  I have a front loading machine.  I used to have a “musty” smell all of the time coming from my washer.  If you have a front loader, you’ll know what I’m talking about.  I had “googled” the problem and there’s all sorts of cleaners and things that are recommended.  I saw one post that recommended the Norwex laundry detergent.  They said that after using it for a few weeks, the smell completely disappeared.  Knowing how I loved the microfiber cloths I thought I’d give it a try.  They were right…the smell is completely gone and I won’t use any other detergent.  I’ve been using it for about 2 years now along with the dryer balls (instead of fabric softener).  I thought the detergent was expensive until I figured out I only go through about 2 bags a year.  I figure I’m saving at least $200 in laundry detergent/fabric softener costs a year.”

How about that Dusting Mitt?!

What happened the last time you dusted?  Did you find that your dusting cloth seemed to simply redistribute the dust rather than REMOVING it?  Do you ever find yourself sneezing or starting an allergy or asthma attack when you dust?  Would you like to actually decrease how often you need to dust?

If you answered YES to these questions, DISCOVER the Norwex dusting mitt!    Norwex Dusting Mitt

When using the mitt, a static charge is created to attract  dust particles INTO the mitt, rather than simply relocating the dust temporarily, only to have it resettle 20 minutes later. Every time you dust with Norwex, the amount of dust that comes back gradually decreases, meaning that over time, you have to dust less!  What’s not to love about that!!?   Here are a few simple tips to try when dusting with your Norwex mitt:

• You do not need to apply pressure when using the Dusting Mitt.  The plush Norwex microfiber actually likes to have room to work.  However, many customers have reported that the mitt removes fingerprints with just a bit of pressure, but for general dusting, you don’t need the pressure!!

• Fold your mitt in half and rub the fibers against themselves before dusting (or use the Norwex rubber static brush!) to help create a stronger static charge to suck up the dust. (Or even better, use TWO Dust Mitts together and rub them together to get them charged up!)

•The Norwex Rubber Brush is fantastic for cleaning the dust into the garbage and extending the amount you can use the mitt before laundering.  It is a great way to “recharge” the static cling of the fibers, too!

•Energy Tip:  Dust the back of your fridge to allow it to run more efficiently.

• Some customers like to use the mitt slightly dampened for certain surfaces, and this is fine to do, as well.

• Great for dusting ceiling fan blades!  Who knows how they can get so dirty!!  But they seem to stay cleaner longer when cleaned with Norwex!

• If you have used a lot of furniture polish or Pledge in the past, the mitt will tend to pick up those residues over time.  If you start to notice that your mitt is not picking up as effectively, it may be time to boil it in a kettle of water for 12 minutes to let it release the oily residues that are hindering its static charge.  And remember my Norwex microfiber care tips:  no bleach, no fabric softener/ dryer sheets, no linty loads.

Washing Instructions for Norwex Microfiber Products

envirosWashing Instructions for Microfiber

To help preserve our resources and protect our evironment by reducing the use of detergents, we suggest that slightly dirty cloths and mop pads be washed with a small amount of dish detergent (rubbing the microfiber against itself) under warm running water and used again before laundering.

  • Do NOT use bleach or fabric softener on microfiber.  Bleach destroys the fiber (and voids your warranty) and fabric softeners lessen the microfiber’s cleaning ability.
  • Our Rubber Brush is excellent for removing debris from the mop pads & dusting mitt after use and between washings.
  • Machine wash Norwex microfiber with lint-free laundry (i.e. cotton sheets)- you want the cloths to continue to leave your windows, mirrors and other surfaces lint-free for many years to come!
  • Make sure your laundry detergent doesn’t have bleach or fabric softener additives when cleaning your microfiber.  A laundry detergent without fillers and environmentally-friendly, like our Norwex Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent, works extremely well.
  • If your microfiber is heavily-soiled, they may be boiled in water for up to 5 min and then laundered as usual.  This helps to release grease and other dirt in the cloths. It is a good idea to boil your microfiber 3-4 times a year for 10 minutes.
  • If you have hard water, your cloths may develop a mineral build-up.  If this occurs, soak your cloths in vinegar for a few minutes and boil for 10min.
  • Do not Microwave the cloths.  Should boiling be necessary, please boil in water in a kettle on the stove top.
  • Do Not Iron
  • With proper care of your Norwex cloths, they will likely last beyond the 2- year warranty!
    Saving you green…. Norwex.
